STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you. In this case, you can always just note someone on dA.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!


STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

REMEMBER this is about ways you can help people through what you have. You do not need to blow all your savings on this , it is simply to get that good feeling when you help people out

1) I collect interesting coins (old or foreign coins...not necessarily expensive or valuable, just interesting.) I also like postcards from small towns and out of the way interesting places. Anything in those areas would really make my day.
2) I'd like to have penpals again, like I used to have. There's nothing like a letter or card in the mail, or even a friendly word by email.
3) I really want to take a trip to see my friends out west in Washington and California.
4) ...And, I really, really want to get hired permanently at my job, so I can feel like I can afford to do that, and so many other things I need and want.
5) And...I just wish I lived closer to a lot of the people I'm close to.
6) I wish I could stay inspired to work on my book, like I want to.
7) I wish I could draw better.
8) I wish I knew how to get more fans of my work...it would really help my inspiration to have a lot of people who loved my characters.
9) I wish someone would draw pictures of my book characters for a low price or free. I have been happy in the past to pay for commissions but the money's just not there anymore
10) I would love to get interesting/tasty cookie recipes from people -- I enjoy baking and would like to extend my range
